Biometric Policy - Identity-as-a-Service

Welcome to Identity as a Service, offered by IDmission, LLC. (“IDmission,” “we,” or “us”). This page describes the biometric policies by which you may use our web and/or mobile software and services, which allow our business partners (“Clients”) to verify and vet the identities and credentials of individuals (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and consent to be bound by this Biometric Policy (the “Biometric Policy”) and to the collection and use of your information as set forth in the Service Privacy Policy, whether or not you are a registered user of our Service. IDmission reserves the right to make unilateral modifications to this policy and will provide notice of these changes as described below. This Biometric Policy applies to all visitors, users, and others who access and/or use the Service (“Users”).

Please read this Biometric Policy carefully to ensure that you understand each provision.

Biometric Information. IDmission collects biometric information through the Services. Our biometric policy must be reviewed separately and users of the Services as described in the Terms of Service. Users must consent to this policy as part of their enrollment or registration of the Services. You are free to decline consent to provide Biometric Information. However, if you do so you will be unable to register and utilize the Service.

Facial Biometrics. If you enroll in the Service, you agree to use our Facial Biometric Service in which IDmission will collect an image of your face that you provide through a mobile app and a photo or scan of your face as it appears on an identification document. IDmission will use facial recognition technology only for the purpose of verifying your identity as the person who appears on the identification document. IDmission may share the facial scans with the IDmission customer through which you used IDmission’s identity verification service. IDmission will retain your facial recognition information, including the photo of your face and photo or scan of your identification document, for the amount of time requested by the IDmission customer through which you used IDmission’s identity verification service. In no event will IDmission store your facial recognition information after IDmission ceases to have a customer relationship with the customer through which you used IDmission’s identity verification service.

Data Retention and Deletion. IDmission will retain your information for no longer than as reasonably necessary to provide services to you, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. IDmission will retain your information for no longer than the period you are actively using the services plus six (6) years.

In order to exercise any possible "knowledge", "deletion", "correction", and/or "opt-out" rights based on your state, you may submit a request to us at privacyteam@idmission.com.or call us at 1-800-925-8041 ext. 4. You may also authorize another person (your “agent”) to submit a request on your behalf, and in the same manner.

When you exercise these rights and submit a request to us, we will verify your identity and state residency by asking you to provide us with additional information such as your email or home address, order numbers of previous orders of our products and services, or the last four digits of a credit or debit card used to make a purchase. We also may use a third-party verification provider to verify your identity. We will endeavor to honor such requests unless such a request conflicts with certain exemptions under the relevant state consumer privacy law or is not authorized by your state law.

We aim to respond to a verifiable request within 45 days of its receipt. If we need more time to respond to your request (up to 45 additional days), we will inform you in writing

Notification of Changes to this Policy. Technology and the Internet are rapidly changing. IDmission therefore is likely to make changes to the Services in the future and as a consequence will need to revise this Policy to reflect those changes. When we revise the Policy, IDmission will post the new Policy on the IDmission website’s home page (www.idmission.com) and also on the IDentity Service website (https://identity.idmission.com ), so you should review that page periodically. If we make a material change to the Policy, you will be provided with appropriate notice. If we maintain your email address or phone number, we also may email you a copy or send notification of the revised Policy at your most recently provided email address or phone number. It is therefore important that you update your email address or phone number if it changes.
